Effort Analysis

The coding task provides a quantitative look at the way you conducted the task. For this assignment, we want to summarize the data in a number of ways to see what messages may be hiding.

Tasks

1. Download the summary workbook. Copy your episode data from your effort log developed during coding task I into the Episodes worksheet.

2. Compute the following items from your effort log from the coding task:

   1. Number of Episodes of each category

   2. Total time in each category

   3. Average episode length for each category

   4. Average episode length

   5. Total Number of Episodes

   6. Total Time

   7. Percent of Time in Each Category as a Percent of Total Time

   8. Percent of Episodes in Each Category as a Percent of Total Episodes

3. Prepare the following graphs, placing the result in the graphs worksheet in the summary workbook:

   1. Pie graph showing the distribution of effort by category (as percent of total).

   2. Pie graph showing the distribution of episodes by category (as percent of total).

   3. Bar graph showing the effort in each category.

   4. Bar graph showing the number of episodes in each category.

4. Submit the summary workbook to the Learning Portal as a deliverable to Coding Task I Analysis.
