Software Process
Resource Collection

This is a collection of resources for those interested in happenings, research or practice, related to software process improvement, and software process definition and assessment (appraisal). We have assembled references to research in software process and general process, metrics and measurement, quality control, human factors and empirical studies of developers, and any other areas which appeared directly or indirectly related to the task at the time. The goal of this collection is three-fold:

  1. to support development of curriculum material in software process for the undergraduate curriculum in computer science
  2. to support on-going research in cognition in design and software development
  3. to provide a reference collection for our undergraduates and graduates engaged in research related to software development

We attempted to provide with each link (reference) a short description of material to be accessed to assist those navigating the web. Most of the descriptions and remarks found with links have been taken directly from the source without editorial changes. Thus, you decide to follow a link based on the authors' view of their work not ours.

Advice to Users

Most of the documents at this site have been converted from postscript to PDF (Portable Document Format from Adobe). Some care has been taken to insure any file converted is "readable" in PDF format. In cases where the conversion is unacceptable the postscript file is available. In all cases, files are clearly marked to indicate which file format is available. The reader for files in this format is freely available for various platforms.
